Roy has been in business as owner of Top Hat Heating Fireplace and Chimney specialists since1981. The business involves Heating and Air conditioning as well as Hearth and Chimney Sales, service, Design , installation, restoration and maintenance. Roy has been certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America as well as The National Fireplace Institute in Wood burning, Gas, and Pellet. He is also certified by Solid Flue Chimney Savers as a Master Chimnologist. He has been hired by Insurance companies to investigate hundreds of Fireplace and Chimney fires and failures and has been an expert witness in court for these. He has written curriculum and presented to hundreds of Fire departments, Insurance agents, adjusters and underwriters as well as home inspectors on Fireplaces and Chimneys. He was chosen and hired by the State of Wisconsin to develop curriculum on Fireplaces and chimneys and taught over 1000 building inspectors on these subjects. Roy and Top Hat is also one of only 9 Pinnacle Dealers in the U.S. and Canada ever chosen to win Bryant Heating's highest award for excellence in Sales and service.
